Nick Howard, a working artist from Minneapolis, has created a universe that consists solely of the masses. Despite the joyful attitude of his work, his subjects verge on the grotesque.
None of Howard's subjects are identifiable. They are all hidden in each other's presence and depend on one another to create one single identity.
"Initially I developed the cast of characters in my drawings as representations of our darker and more monstrous nature. As my work has evolved they have revealed more of their humanity within, reflecting a wider range of human experiences from the myopic and controlling to the clear and the vulnerable."
You can find the rest of Nick Howard's work on his Flickr and blog.
