My tumblr dashboard is over-saturated with images, mostly of the fashion variety, and, to be quite blunt with you, I am usually unamused. But I keep scrolling, scouring for the rare gems that remind me why I found fashion so interesting in the first place.
This Margiela* skirt from 2005 that is currently being sold on eBay restores a bit of my faith. This is not just a skirt. It is a tapestry, a potato sack, Poussin meets Goya, your grandmother's tacky hand stitched pillow, you name it. This skirt is just too ugly, awesome and confusing. It deconstructs any notion of what society deems as "fashion" and that is why this skirt is cooler than you. **
So I will keep dorking over these frivolous commodities behind my computer screen until I find something else even weirder in this magical world we call the Internet.
